DESCRIPTION:
"The printing size messes it up." according to S.D.. I like Rick Geary's work, and the work within this collection is undoubtedly good work. Ok, maybe he draws (or drew - these were published in the 80's) hands funny, but they're present so much (heck, see the cover) as to be a part of his signature style and not some short. "True crime by a master." according to Amazon Customer. I have wanted to read these books for some time, but the price of the individual books was a little bit more than I was willing to pay. But the compendium price made me go for it. I like Geary's art, and I think he has captured the feel of the era quite well. As a fan of . "Great author/artist combo, fantastic stories" according to Wendy A. Emlinger. If you have a budding Sherlock on your hand
An engrossing, illustrated journey into true crime classics of the Victorian era, this omnibus volume contains three works in Rick Geary’s increasingly storied treasuries of murder—Jack the Ripper, The Beast of Chicago, and The Fatal Bullet. These carefully researched presentations of true crime stories include a bibliography of research sources, presenting true facts about famous murders in an entertaining fashion.
"Geary’s very dry wit and expert pacing hit just the right note on this journey into the macabre." -No Flying No Tights
