"Amazing" according to my singing monster lover. This book is amazing! I love it so much! It makes you scared, happy, sad, angry and much more. I suggest this book to anyone. This is one of my favorite books of all time. It makes you really understand the characters and how they feel. When you visualise the surroundings and characters, it makes you feel like you are in another world! The woman who wrote this book did an amazing job. I wish she was still alive so she could keep writing amazing books like this one. Thank you for taking the time to read my heartfelt review!. Nostalgic but Refreshing Even on First Read Julie This novel felt like something I'd read before though I never had. Perhaps it was the thinly veiled Christianity guiding the story and the quiet stab at suggesting heavenly beings that reminded me of C.S. Lewis' works, both fantasy (Chronicles of Narnia trilogy) and sci-fi fantasy (Perelandra trilogy). Delightful and a quick, easy read for an adult, this was a fun, happy jaunt preceding the film adaptation's release, 10 years after 'Engle's death. I hope the film does the novel justice in all the right ways.. Amazon Customer said A Piece of Classic Literature. This book is a classic. I purchased a class set as for novel study with my students (works for 5th and 6th grade). Condition-wise, the books came in magnificent quality. Content-wise, this a beautifully written book that lends itself to the exploration of various themes, motifs, symbols, etc. A great read for pleasure or for use in a classroom.
