Bookzilla said 3.5 Stars. Twisting 3.5 Stars. Twisting. Stand-alone that stars off fast then slowly comes to a blah end.The storyline, actions, reactions and procedures are not realistic. Characters and dialogue are okay but nothing memorable. There is missing money and no one goes to the surviving family members for information? The wife ending up with the crooked lawyer? No desire to re-read this story.Remember this is my personal opinion and does not reflect on the author.. .5 Stars. Twisting. 3.5 Stars. Twisting 3.5 Stars. This mystery will keep you believing EDNA BLUNCK I will have to renew my efforts to find more books by Mr Batista. I loved the romance, the baby & her nanny. The lawyer and the drive with which the crooks pursued their quarry; the resourcefulness of Julie. I just loved the whole mixture. A very satisfying read; made me feel good.. Enjoyed this novel but too many anachronisms mvp I liked reading this novel and might consider reading another one written by Paul Batista. However, the annoyances I could not overlook were how things did not always fit the proper timelines. It was as if the book was originally written to fit the 1980s era but re-edited to modernize it to today's time and lifestyle. The ages of the characters do not match what they should be based on their life experiences (a Vietnam vet would not be in his 40s or 50s), phone booths (really?) as well as cell phones, Phil Donahue but not Phil McGraw, and other situations.
