DESCRIPTION:
People are being baptized, joining the church, and reaching the lost. Exciting times! I cannot truly express the impact Arron’s book is having on our church. It is changing hearts and changing lives. We are supposed to be friends with sinners. My wife mentioned the other day on the way home from church, “How can one book make such an impact on our whole church?” (Allen Gonzalez, Preaching minister at Capital City Christian Church)If your heart beats passionately for people who have wandered far from God, you need to read this book today! In Eats with Sinners, Arron Chambers reminds us of the power of love in reaching people for Jesus. Arron points to how we can engage people with the purpose of Jesus in practical and inspiring ways. This is a fantastic resource for all of us to be reminded and challenged b
Three barriers to "eating with sinners": Exceptance, Exparteance and Extirpatience! An important read on ministering to others WGR Arron has written a wonderful book that is a wake-up call for Christians and the Church when it comes to ministry and reaching out to sinners (unbelievers). We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. And there are so many lost people in the world today that need Christ followers to actually be Christians and meet with them and engage with them and be friends with them and EAT with them and show them God's love and grace and that He died for them (they might not know it though).Arron examines Jesus' evangelistic strategy in the Gospel of Luke and outlines the "the ingredients that went into His perfect recipe for reaching lost . "Wonderful book!!" according to MarinaB111Wonderful book!! I had read the first release of Eats With Sinners, so I was glad to see it being re-released and updated to include testimonies of people's experiences. It's really a great book! Arron's heart for the lost and reaching others through building relationships is no new phenomenon - Jesus himself set the example!I would recommend this book for anyone in ministry, missions, evangelism. Basically, any Christian who wants to emulate Jesus' behavior with people. I think that means all of us.(I received an advance copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion). . Arron Chambers is a gifted writer and storyteller and his words will move you to more fully live the great adventure in following Jesus! -Scott Eynon, Pastor of Community Christian Church of Ft. Even Jesus dealt with naysayers as He spread His gospel: “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them” (Luke 15:2, NIV). But more than that, we worry about the time we spend with non-Christians: Will we understand each other? Will I offend them? Will they offend me? How long will it take before this relationship falls apart?Every meal Jesus ate, He ate with sinners. If you want to follow Jesus on the incredible journey of sharing Him while sharing life with others, it’s time to eat with sinnerspeople just like you and me.As long as people have been sharing their faith, there have been critics.
