DESCRIPTION:
Jim Moore said great book, great teacher. I hate on-camera flashes. The picture never look natural.I THOUGHT I simply hated flash photography! Boy, was I wrong!Using Ron's techniques, you can combine natural light with flash lighting in a perfect harmony.I would think this would be mandatory reading for anyone serious about photography.. Low information density. It's a few kernels of real information on flash mixed in with a bit over a hundred pages of fluff and woo about growing your inner artist. The one thing I did like was the juxtaposition of "the shot" with a wider view of how the shot was set up.If you're looking for in depth information on flash photography techniques, look elsewhere. If you're looking for pat on the back encouragement about how you can be an artist too, you might like it.The single flash book by the same authors has the same problem.. "Two Stars" according to Joe.
A wide assortment of images with captions detailing the methods used to create each look completes this clever guide.. Photographers of all experience levels can now avoid time-consuming postproduction image editing with the multiflash techniques provided in this guide. Packed with information, the manual shows photographers how to select a quality new or used flash and how to mount and use up to five flashes to sculpt and define every aspect of an image. Also included is a discussion on perspective, lens selection, filter use, and white balance selection as well as information on flash-triggering systems and supporting equipment
