Amazon Customer said Managing Financial in Lean Environment - A good book to change the culture of the accountant leaders and financial folks. One of the most challenges that face any lean leader is that most organizations are led by short-term thinking and tend to evaluate things in terms of ROI and using some financial metrics. Those metrics are actually not efficient. The result is that indirect improvements to quality, reliability, breakdowns and setups may not get the attention and the resources they need because everything is being counted in terms of immediate ROI. However, some of the advice, in my opinion cannot all be taken seriously in a publicly traded company lest you want to battle internal and external audit. I found myself in steadfast agreement with some of the ideas presented that I never thought of. I also found myself just as equally staunchly disagreeing with some of the ideas presented in a twelve year old book about a discip. "Good book" according to JAS.
