The book then moves on to the various tools and techniques used to carv. Very comprehensive and friendly I loved this book. The advice in it is not only comprehensive, but given very warmly. I've read other stamp making tutorials, but this one is much more precise and informative. In addition to this book, Kristal has a website that gently eases her readers into the art world without inundating them with extra "noise". I'm very happy I found Kristal and her handmade art journals (which can be found on etsy.). I really enjoyed her practical, down to earth style as she encouraged newbie journalers to just take the plunge.
