Fast-paced domestic thriller This is a fast-paced domestic thriller about a clique using (barely) controlled violence to try to achieve fiscally conservative federal budget goals. Among D.C. officialdom in the story there are both charismatic and dirt ball characters, with some satisfying scenes where the "good guys" come out on top. Flynn keeps the story moving right along except. W. A. Mcdonald said Late great Vince Flynn!. This is my second read. I read this book a long time ago when Vince was only a couple of novels into the Mitch Rapp series. As a Minnesota writer, Vince was always an inspiration. His writing is easy to read, and the characters are believable. He does not over burden you with details, while still giving you a clear picture of the world he has created.I

The silly plot focuses on our hero, a macho U.S. Congressmen got what they deserved, calls Congressmen who oppose his agenda "pansies," and, finally, joins a plot to kill another Fed with assassins who just happen to include an old Marine buddy and the Congressman's own grandfather. The assassins are all just good Americans, demanding at one point that the President sponsor a crime bill, of all things, or else!
