It is indeed an Amazing book and CD James B. Ross I'm self-learning the trumpet and I'm moving up to more complex topics with this book. I'm very well pleased with this book as I have several instructional books for various instruments, and this one is right up there with the best of them to be sure. This book has cracked some of the Improvisation mysteries for me. This book actually is AMAZING! I'm NOT really a beginner, so I thought maybe this might be built a bit too much around the basics. It does give some great thins to prep you for where you want to be, and you may jump forward without penalty in your improvisational experience. I combined this purchase with the Miles and Charlie Parker Omni Books There will be my three most important workbooks for some time!
