Kortz Damia's Children is one of those 'in-the-middle-of's' books that a person will get totally lost in if they don't read the books in front of it. I found it ceaselessly step-by-step, with no real sense of forward movement of the plot, of tension or suspense, etc and yes, it gave good information, as far as the plot of the entire series went, but as a stand-alone, it was boring and confusing.
