Start at the beginning of the book and it walks you through how to read music and how to make notes so if you go through the book page by page your skills grow steadily. I played years ago and I'm enjoying the refresher. Also suitable for a new beginner - child or adult. Full fingering chart at back of book.. Essential Elements 2000 This is an excellent book for someone who wants to learn to play the clarinet one their own. I ordered the Clarinet Fingering Chart along with it but the fingering chart included in the book is much easier to use.
