jeffpol said Great book.. I liked it. Great concept. Likeable characters and an easy read.. Great story, great characters, great fun. Highly recommend it! I just finished this book, the 2nd in the series, and can't wait for the next one! I found it hard to put down. It's a well-written fantasy tale, full of action and adventure. It has an interesting plot with lots of twists and turns, well-developed engaging characters, a detailed fleshed-out world, and a unique believable system of "magic" underlying it all. I really enjoyed it, and look forward to the next installment. PE Padilla's writing is right up there with some of my other favorite fantasy authors, Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.
