Required Reading Alicia J. I was required to read this book for a multicultural education course. I felt that the authors of the book outlined their arguments well, but some unfamiliar concepts were not properly explained. The book seemed to blanket entire racial/social groups under one thought process and ideology, and it did not account for individual thoughts or perceptions. I feel that this book had excellent aspirations, but it ultimately did not meet its goals.. "Five Stars" according to Paula L. Phillips. VERY informative and extremely useful for folk who are truly interesting in social justice readings.. "Must read" according to Levi. I bought this for a class and loved it. I would recommend to anyone looking to expand their understanding of power and privilage
