And yet the man obviously was chosen by our Lord Jesus to reveal to all Christians the New Testament meaning of exactly what Jesus began to do and teach concerning the church. The church has its origin in Jesus Christ. The man, Paul, is unique. The Corinthian church is the example church. A man not mentioned in the historical gospels and therefore positioned in a rather secondary position in Christianity by the establishmentthe present Roman Church. The church has its organization and doctrine in the Apostle Paul. Not as a model to follow, but as a model of carnal Christianity to avoid.
