I could not put down the the first two books. Finished each in a day. LOVED them! Book 3 was probably the worst book I can remember ploughing through. I forced myself to not give up. "another terrific, tangled, sensate read from turrow" according to ForceProtection1. i am an unexpected fan of legal thrillers.a soldier by trade, i still enjoy the masterful way s.t. bares for us all the panoply of human frailty, triumph, intimate emotion & and reflection.please excuse any spelling errors.. Surprising and Delightful Turow has always developed his characters splendidly and this is no exception. Sometimes, though, I wished he would get on with the plot instead of the long explanations of human nature (which, admittedly, is food for thought.) Mack's dark whit is hilarious and entertaining. And the whodunit at the end caught me by surprise. I
