Tara said Great Book. I'm only giving this four stars because I did not receive the edition I ordered. It's a great book nonetheless.I ordered the oldest edition of this book because it's supposed to be funnier. However, I received the most recent edition (with the 6th book on advanced practice which I'm not really ready for). I'm not sure whether to be happy or disappointed. The exercises are quite sensible and. "Great book overall" according to A. Smith. Great book that has its audience focus on one small point at a time. It does this in a structured and metered way, ensuring easier progression.. DivaNina said A Must-Have for any Flute Player. These practice books hold up nicely over time. The exercises are divided in chunks that allow for rigorous practice without being overwhelming. Wye deconstructs well-known pieces and uses them to build technique, an approach that makes even the most complex pieces seem more approachable.
