While some transitions happen so quickly that listeners may be confused as to where they are and who is speaking, Brick knows how to keep the action moving and the characters grounded and real. From Publishers Weekly Brick seems completely comfortable sitting in the narrator's seat of Lustbader's (Black Heart, etc.) substantial espionage thriller, which brings Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne back for a fourth outing. Framed for the killings, Bourne is forced back into the violent world he had hoped never to revisit. Even when the writing strays toward the melodramatic, Brick maintains his straightforward reading style. Along the way, he uncovers a deadly plot against an upcoming summit on terrorism. What follows is a roller coaster ride of intrigue and betrayal that will take Bourne halfway around the world in an effort to clear his name. All rights reserved. Brick handles the large c

"Dull, boring, a waste of my time and $." according to stargazer. It has been a while since I read Ludlum (and Lustbader). So maybe my tastes have changed. Fair enough. But I found the characters uninteresting, unbelievable (make love on a bed of broken glass to atone for sins? really? gross), and wondered if the author was paid by the word. I did not finish the book (and do not plan to).To be fair, I am sure the book is much better than the ones . DeonL said Action-packed!. One thing this book is not short on is action. Poor, aging Bourne, spends a good 600-pages running, shooting, fighting, and being tortured - a bit too much actually! I also kept wondering what on earth his poor family was going through since he only phoned them to tell them to run for safety; thereafter we never hear of them again and Jason Bourne doesn't even drop a thought in that. Well done sequel. Hard to match the Master, but Lustbader did it After so many years, I decided to give Lustbader's Bourne a try. Looking forward to downloading the next several books in the series over the summer.
