DESCRIPTION:
"Useful for Musicians, Parents, Teachers" according to Jonathan D. Harnum. The Inner Game of Music by Barry Green, with Timothy Gallwey15 chapters225 pagesThis book is based on Gallwey's quite successful title, The Inner Game of Tennis: The Classic Guide to the Mental Side of Peak Performance. What is striking and admirable is that Green didn't just write a knockoff cribbed from Gallwey's book. After meeting with Gallwey about the project, they decided Green should live with (and teach) the principles and then write the book. Three. A must-read for any musician Anony After 20 years of singing opera and classical recitals, I still worry about forgetting the words, or have that inner voice analyzing every sound that comes out. This book helped me to stop those inner judges and relax and immerse myself in the music. Performing has become much more funwhat a concept!. Stop criticizing yourself during performances; let go into the music and trust yourself! EXCELLENT reminder of why I chose music as a profession. I am on my first read through, and can see that this will become a great reference for me. I have already utilized some of the book's exercises in performance situations to refocus from distractions, decrease nervousness and increase my own moment by moment enjoyment of the music. I would highly recommend this book to any musician, regardless of experience.
