When I first got into Mr. Stephen King back in middle and high school, it was this book that really put him on the map for me. Reading this book again for the first time sixteen years later, I know why.I wanted to go back and re-read all of the classic King books before I started getting into his new stuff (I sort of fell off from The King after I read Dreamcatcher and then Just After Sunset - wasn't a terrible fan of those, sorry to say) and I finally made it. Just as good as it was in 1996 I had initially read this book shortly after its original publication in 1996 and really enjoyed it. It was just as good of a read the second time when I finished it recently. One thing that was interesting on the second read was that the book did not seem dated even more than 20 years later. I find that this is consistent among many of King's books. Overall a great re-read and definitely recommended for fans of King's style and stories.
