What I liked about this book is that it helped me personally put a name and explanation to some of my feelings and reactions from back when I was a child being disciplined. This will help me to better examine my childrens' motivations rather than going with a one-size-fits-all approach that does nothing but frustrate the child who is not acting out of defiance.
