Pete Nealen hits his stride with "Kill Yuan" taking the readers to the South Pacific with private security contractors engaging in the very dubious (and illegal) endeavor of removing a rogue Chinese military officer turned pirate. Dan Tackett is a former Marines who is down on his luck, and with two kids to take care of as a single parent, he needs the scratch that comes along with a high risk contract. They can give put a very authentic combat experience in novel form that no-one who has not experienced it first hand can provide. This is very true of Nealen's writings. In my opinion this is his best novel so far. In his previous "American Praetorian" novels he sometimes spent a little too much time on the technical and tactical
