Whohemagoo said you won't go wrong buying this book. I play clawhammer and have wanted to build a banjo for years. This book isn't long but what's in it is choice. The authors take care to steer the reader clear of common pitfalls. All of the basic tools, jigs, hardware, wood, and techniques are discussed. If you want to build an open back banjo that is more advance than the tin can or Foxfire types this is you. Dave L. said but rather a great introduction to the work you'll be getting into if.
