"These are very nice, thick postcards with each letter of the alphabet" according to Cathleen Simon-Cord. These are very nice, thick postcards with each letter of the alphabet depicted by a radical woman. I like that all of these women changed history, some through politics, some protest or breaking a barrier. Inspirational and made me want to know more about a few I wasn't aware.. nothing about what she fought for or any other fact on why she is great etc. I expected at least a sentence for Jarrubal "the small fact" is simply a title for her. ~75% of which just say "activist", nothing about what she fought for or any other fact on why she is great etc. I expected at least a sentence for someone being celebrated. Very disappointed.
Celebrate the radical heroines who shaped America's history with twenty-six portraits--to send to your senator or save for yourself--originally from the New York Times bestselling book Rad American Women A-Z published by City Lights Books. Bound in a hardcover binding, each of these 26 brightly-colored postcards features the image of an American feminist on the front and, on the reverse, a small fact about the heroine with room to write an original greeting.
