However, compared to the first book, I was a bit disappointed in the selection of songs in the Leap Year edition. A larger portion of these songs seems to be less suited for the ukulele, either not sounding terribly good when played on the ukulele or requiring difficult and/or rarely used chords. I enjoy playing about 1/2 of the songs in the or. 65 Songs for Better Living [DAILY UKULELE] [Paperback], it is extremely well organized and contains a very large variety of songs. However, compared to the first book, I was a bit disappointed in the selection of songs in the Leap Year edition. Great mix of songs Michael Holzer Some of the less positive reviews complained about the song selections and I'd just like to say how much I love the song selections. True, some of the songs (Specifically Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen) are in odd keys. This is to make the songs easier to play on the ukulele and to make the music in the book as accessible as possible.Also, just like the first book, there are traditional songs and pop/classic rock from the 50's on, including some from the 90's and the 00's (which is really cool!)Fear not friends, if you are looking for an addition to your uke music lib. I had pulled up the song list from the Flea Market Music site and basically knew what to expect.
