Good, but there are limitations. This is a great product, and you do start to pick up phrases quite easily and intuitively. There are limitations to such an "express" learning methodology. I found that interpreting written Italian was quite difficult, especially when it didn't follow the formulaic construction of sentences as prescribed by Michele Thomas.In short, this is a g. Not as good as the Portuguese cd's I have learned Portuguese from the Michel Thomas cd's and now speak almost fluently. I also have the Arabic cd's which are really good.
