Even mainstream science is beginning to admit that mankind and his civilization are far more ancient than previously thought. Many thanks to Mr. Hancock, who has endured decades of abuse for his popularization of these ideas and for his ground-breaking work in finding underwater physical evidence to support them.. "I loved this book" according to Ken Heilbrunn. I loved this book, and two others by Hancock. I took away one star because I think the writing could be more concise. I understand that details are important, but these were a bit too repetitive for my taste. I have recommended Hancock's books to friends. Once you have read one, you will never see our existence on this planet in the same way. You can impress people with th knowledge these books provide. It's lot of fun. Go for it!. "An astounding achievement." according to Travis Bickle. This is an astounding piece of work. Graham Hancock has put together enough historical, anthropological, archaeological, geological and mythological sources to have created a very believable and thoroughly researched and documented picture of our planet and our species' history that it is totally at odds with what we have been taught. The book is fascinating and really enjoyable. I had trouble putting it down.
Four 8-page photo inserts.. The bestselling author of The Sign and the Seal reveals the true origins of civilization. Connecting puzzling clues scattered throughout the world, Hancock discovers compelling evidence of a technologically and culturally advanced civilization that was destroyed and obliterated from human memory
