DESCRIPTION:
Not great but not terrible either, for fans of the show only THE SECRET DIARY OF LAURA PALMER is a book which is difficult to review because the subject matter is so dark and disturbing while being written in a deliberately girlish teenaged girl style. Jennifer Lynch was only twenty-two when she wrote this book so she wasn't that far from Laura Palmer's age when attempting to do a story about a woman who suffered from child molestation, demonic possession, drug-abuse and eventually went on to become a prostitute b. "Dear Diary WOW!" according to Phreak9mm. As a Twin Peaks fan since I first saw it, I was blown away. One thing that is constantly referenced is Laura's diary. Where is it, what's in it, who does it implicate? I loved this book. It fills in gaps, raises new questions and reels the mind. I loved it. The fact that David Lynch's daughter made me feel more comfortable reading this and less apprehensive since this is a person growing up with the world of Twin Peaks being developed around her. A great. Wow! Karen Fisher Anderson I am an old Peakie from way back when. I remember loving the series more than anything I had ever seen on TV. I jumped at the new chance to DVR them all and start over again. This diary really changes the entire picture and perspective of what was really going on. Really pulls it together and makes much more sense. Rewatching at the same time now I could understand why things were the way they were. So glad I went ahead with the purchase.

The diary chronicles Laura's life from age 12 to her death at 17 and provides a harrowing backstory to the event that set the entire series in motion. Plagued by visions of a creepy man with long hair - a demonic presence she comes to know as "BOB" - Laura falls into a world of drug addiction, sexual promiscuity, and prostitution to escape. In intimate diary entries, Laura goes from a happy and naïve tween to a tormented soul posing behind the phony smile of homecoming queen. With hidden Easter eggs, glimpses at the origins of principal characters, and clues to the identity of her eventual killer, The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer is required listening for diehard fans of the original show, and essential background for the 2017 revival.. Now, Sheryl returns to voice Laura's darkest secrets in the
