methinks tis watered down MWC If you know almost nothing about single malts, this book might be helpful - but I would advise getting a book that gives you some more information, and goes into some depth as well as critical information concerning distilleries, independent bottlers, etc. - Malt Whisky Yearbook, Micheal Jackson (although the new stuff is actual written by other "experts"), Jim Murray, etc. the biginners guide to malt whisky on the website maltmadness.com is a great place to start - also gives you info on further reading.
