I've been going through this book with my mandolin instructor, and so far so good. I like that the songs have both the chords and melody. Having the CD to play along to is good too, although it tends to only go through the first verse of the song. The only annoyance is that often the chord fingerings are on the page before the song, so if I need look back at the fingering I have to stop playing, flip the page back, find the chord, and then tu.
