"Interesting, but" according to Katka. as a novel, this book is too dry, technical and lacks luster. As a nonfiction account of a historical event, it's very interesting and well told.I would have liked it to be more like a novel, with richly crafted characters and settings.I had a hard time with a lot of the period slang, a glossary would've been welcome. Modern dictionaries did not help with a lot of the jar. "Great story with a lot of research and history." according to Amazon Customer. Rest in peace Michael. You were one of the best out there. I doubt if any author has ever done as much research as Michael Crichton on any of his books.
