Deedi Brown said An easy read and a captivating story. This was an engaging, fast-paced book that kept me not quite on the edge of my seat, but certainly far from resting comfortably back in it. There weren't really any slow moments, and I was always eager to see what would happen next. It was a quick read without feeling shallow, and I truly enjoyed it.I also found this book to be less predictable than I had originally assumed it would be, which was a pleasant surprise—although I think I still would have enjoyed the story eve. Good Start - Not so Good Finish Insight1001 Dark Matter starts out like a house on fire. Blake Crouch immediately creates a wonderful page-turner adventure. The hero is ripped away from his normal surroundings and placed in a world with few clear guidelines. However, once he's established this great mood, Crouch's plot founders - becoming totally implausible and obviously jerry-built to maintain all the previous exciting stuff. I give the first half four stars and the second half one star.
